Here are a few fun things to kick off your weekend!
1. Camp Creativity at Michael's. For ages 3 and up. $5 per person, register online or in store. Come make a fun craft from 10 until noon! There are three locations in the area: one behind the Parks Mall, one in Lincoln Square and one in Mansfield on 287 by Homegoods. Get crafting! (sorry, I don't know what kids will be making... We haven't gotten around to this yet...)
**Note this activity is every Monday, Wednesday and Friday from now until 7/29**
2. I can't believe I haven't mentioned Sonora Park splash pad in Kennedale yet. Shame on me. This is probably our FAVE splash pad in the area! It is fenced in on all sides so there are no runaways, and benches for mom and dad to rest on. It doesn't host Boy Scout Camp each summer, so it gets crowded (the park in general, not just the splash pad) but it is so worth the trip! There are trains that travel by frequently that can be seen from the splash pad that kiddos love, too!
3. Sign your kiddo up for Little Ballet at the Southwest Branch of the Arlington Library. Totally free! Classes are at 10a and 11a. But you do need to register! www.morelibrary.org to register. (this is for the 0-4 group) Don't forget to grab your kiddos free lunch at noon!
4. Don't forget its $1 hot dogs at the following Arlington pools: Bad Konigshafen, Allen Bolden and Randol Mill!
5. $1 movies are on at Studio Movie Grill at 11 am.
6. Finding Dory opens!!! Have you tried the AMC at Eastchase and 30 in Fort Worth? The seats lay *almost* flat- my girls love that!
7. Free tennis lessons! That's right... FREE! We love that the Arlington Tennis Association does free lessons every Fall and Spring at Martin and Lamar High Schools (really and truly free... There NO catch, I promise)... And now they are doing free lessons every Friday night through 7/29! Lessons are at Martin from 6-7:30. The registration form starts at 5th grade... No clue if they are open to younger kiddos or not- email them if you have a 3rd or 4th grader who might want to play! These lessons are taught by USTA certified high school students and grads. Sign up here:

8. It's bring a friend free weekend at Six Flags. From Thursday- Sunday, any season pass holder can bring a guest free. So go ahead... Beg your coworker/neighbor/bestie who is always bragging about how much fun she has at Six Flags to bring you (and your kiddos... Or not!) with you!
That should get you through Friday easily!
